Why did this happen?
Shooters Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris were never apart of the Trench Coat
Mafia, neither did they target any social group or ethnicity. Although, they
had a hit list, but no one on the hit list were actually “hit”. Investigators
know that the tragedy that happened on April 20 1999 was a suicide attempt.
It is clear that much of what was reported about the motives and methods of
killers Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold is untrue.
The Truth:
The boys met each other while attending Ken Caryl Middle School in 1993. Though Klebold had been born and raised in the Denver area, Harris' father had been in the U.S. Air Force and had moved the family several times before he retired and moved his family to Littleton, Colorado in July 1993. When the two boys entered high school, they found it difficult to fit into any of the cliques. Although they did many things normal teens do, they were carrying a deep dark secretive plot. Klebold and Harris wanted to kill as many people as possible, so they studied the influx of students in the cafeteria, noting that there would be over 500 students after 11:15 a.m. when the first lunch period began. They planned to plant propane bombs in the cafeteria timed to explode at 11:17 and then shoot any survivors as they came running out. Because the propane bombs that were put in the cafeteria in fact did not explode, due to faulty wiring, the death toll was lowered. If it did go off, hundreds and hundreds of students would have been killed, and the ones that would run out alive would have been shot at the scene.
Klebold and Harris were angry teenagers. They were not only angry at athletes that made fun of them, Christians, or blacks, as some people have reported; they basically hated everyone except for a handful of people. On the front page of Harris's journal, he wrote: "I hate the fucking world." Harris also wrote that he hates racists, martial arts experts, and people who brag about their cars. He goes on to describe some of the other types of people that he hates. "You know what I hate? Star Wars fans: get a friggin life, you boring geeks. You know what I hate? People who mispronounce words, like 'acrost,' and 'pacific' for 'specific,' and 'expresso' instead of 'espresso.' You know what I hate? People who drive slow in the fast lane, God these people do not know how to drive. You know what I hate? The WB network!!!! Oh Jesus, Mary Mother of God Almighty, I hate that channel with all my heart and soul."
The passion they had for segregating specific people, taking the "enemies" lives away and even committing suicide was very strong within them. They searched everywhere (the internets, books, etc.) possible to find different recipes on creating bombs and other wepons. One question that may not be answered is why specifically they chose April 20th to perform the massacre. As we may know, April 20th is the birthday of infamous dictator Adolf Hitler. Another date that they might have done this on was April 19th, the anniversary for the Oklahoma City Bombing.
Many people wonder if there were any signs prior to the shooting that would have signifyed the teenagers plan of destruction. In March, parents of Brooks Brown, friend of Harris, discovered a website that Harris had made. They were shocked to see that Harris had made a death threat towards Brooks. It states: "...all I want to do is kill...as many of you...as I can, especially a few people like Brooks Brown.

911 phone call made by teacher Patti Nielson in the library:
Dave Sanders "1 Bleeding to Death".
This is the picture of what student Patrick Ireland wrote to signify to others that teacher Dave Sanders was bleeding to death. Help didn't come until three hours after he was shot. When help did come, they held Sanders in the science room until paramedics came, which took 42 minutes. He was the last one to die.
